the shop and nursery are a wonderland

if you have never been into this store, you have got to check it out. i felt like i was in another country. make sure you try the toffee they sell and ask them to tell you what gives the shop that amazing scent! i love this place!!

been very pleased with landscape services

i have been completely delighted with my experiences with the gardens' landscaping department. my projects are often small ones and i appreciate the amount of time and energy that is always dedicated to making sure that i am satisfied with the project, from start to finish. the $95 consulatation fee that is charged for the first visit and consultation on-site is industry-standard, from what i can tell. that fee was applied to my overall project once we began the work, so i was happy to pay it in order to begin the process. i'll continue to call on them.

Don't use them for landscaping services

I contacted Gardens to request an estimate on a simple front yard landscape project. They asked for a design fee upfront, so I pay it, OK. 6 weeks later, they still have nothing. When I finally hound them to give us an estimate, they show up at my house with a blank piece of paper and a crude pencil sketch of my home boundary. No indication of where plants would go, what work would be done, nothing at all except the outline of my house. The "design" didn't even have their name or letterhead, just a 81/2 x 11 piece of paper with a crude sketch. Then they hand me their "estimate" which is nearly $30K for a small front yard.

Stay away and don't pay for the upfront design fee.
